September 11, 2001 was a very hard day for my family. At this time my family and I lived in New Jersey and my dad worked in New York City in the World Financial Building right next to the Twin Towers. On this day we woke up as if it was going to be a day like any other. We were very wrong. I remember going to school and going through my morning like nothing was going to happen. When I arrived at my choir class this is when my life came to a screeching stop. I was chatting with my friends when my other friend came up and said "hey did you hear, a plane flew into one of the twin towers". I thought nothing of it and just thought that she was just joking. Well she wasn't, soon after that I got a call from the office to come down. I walked in and the Secretary said this to me. " We don't know where your dad is but he is OK". What?? I was so confused and just walked back to my class. Luckily my Spanish teacher was in my choir class because since it is a big class they need a another teacher to make sure everything is OK in there. Well she was in the office when the secretary told me that so when she came back to class she took me aside and told me what was going on. At this point I was so scared because I remember my dad telling us that he was having a meeting in the one of the Towers that day. I was lucky to have my Spanish class next so she let us watch on TV what was going on. The rest of the day was torcher though, not knowing what really was going on and what was going on with my dad. The day final was over and my friend was taking me home. When we pulled up to the house I saw that there was a couple cars there plus our Bishop's car, so of course I thought the worst. I ran inside and saw my mom crying on the phone. She hurried and hung up and came over and grabbed me. As we were both crying she finally told me that he was fine and at the last minute they changed there meeting to somewhere in Brooklyn because they had more people expected at the meeting. I was relieved but I still didn't know when we would be able to see him, because they were not letting anyone in or out of the city. We then sat there the rest of the day just watching the news and watching the planes hit over and over again. When all of a sudden I thought I heard the garage door open. My mom told me I was hearing things and to just relax. I didn't believe her so I ran out to garage and sure enough it was my dad. I ran to him I we stood there for a good 5 min. just crying and him trying to tell me that he is fine and everything was going to be OK now.
I just want to let my dad know that I do love him very much and I am so thankful to those above watching over him that day so that he would be able to come home to us.
At this time I also want to thank all of the men and women over there fighting again for us. I pray that they do come home safely to there family's just like my dad was able to come home to us.

Dignified and hard working. With a gentle and soft-spoken manner you have something many people don't. Patience. Even through the moments of heartbreak you're still able to hold onto all of your hopes and dreams. Bide your time; your dream will come true.

Well here goes another week and a weekend right on by. Well it has been a busy week and a crazy weekend but some how I made it through it. It was nice though after all that has happened we went down to Chuck's Grandparents farm and we rode four wheelers, went fishing, and then went carp hunting with our dog. It was a relaxing weekend with a lot of fun though as well. It is kinda nice to go get away every now and then. Just get away from the city and just spend time doing nothing and just really relaxing. I just really want to thank Grandma for letting us come on by and barge right in and make ourselves at home. I know that Chuck and I had a grand old time, but especially Athena with playing in the pond and chasing the cows and horses. Well there it goes, weekend is gone, and know we have to go back to work, and go back to the real world.

Well there goes another weekend that flies by so fast, but it was pretty fun. We had a family party at my parents house for the whole family on my dad's side on Monday. It was a lot of fun but since it was rainy all day we had to cram so many people inside the house. Which truly made my mom go crazy. It was lots of fun though cause we had some of our family who lives in Germany come out and are able to stay with us for a couple of weeks I think.
Then the same day I found out that by little brother has become a Marine. He swore in on Friday, so basically it is official. Now don't get me wrong I am very proud of him for wanting to defend our country but like anyone who has someone go into something like this you are always a little scared. He did just turn 17 so he won't be going to boot camp for a little while, so that is always good. I just want him to know that I am proud of him and I do love him very much and I do hope all the best for him.

WOW look at me go!! I am finally establishing my own blog, so now no one can say that I don't have anything that people can see what I am up too. Well its Memorial weekend and I have no idea what I am going to do. My husband and I were going to go to Pelican Lake, but with the weather so crappy I guess we don't get to go. Even though I hate fishing I do like only going up there though. With every cast that you make you always are able to get a fish. Mainly the only fish that I catch up there is Blue Gill and they are so fun cause the are flat so they do fight a little harder, which is always fun. But since this Memorial weekend is going to be so cold it is not even going to be worth going up there and trying it out.
